Responsible Care® Award – Runner Up (LSP Responsible Care Award)
RSA-TALKE was recognized for its dedicated efforts towards health, safety and the environment with an award at the 2nd GPCA Responsible Care® awards held on May 7, 2018 at the InterContinental, Dubai Festival City, UAE. Responsible care is a global initiative dedicated to environment, health, safety and security performance within the chemical industry.
The Responsible Care® award which was launched in 2017 by the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association(GPCA) is in honour of individuals and companies who have showcased a high level of leadership and outstanding performance in the implementation and execution of the Responsible Care program.
The awards ceremony held on the first evening of this year’s GPCA conference received a record number of nominations with 63 entries in six highly contested categories covering the areas of occupational health and safety, process safety, the environment and resource utilization, rising star, product stewardship and LSP responsible care.
RSA-TALKE was named runner up in the LSP category for demonstrating a holistic approach to responsible practices, with a heavy focus on enriching its team through various initiatives including: Education and training, a Behaviour Based Safety (BBS)Program, numerous health campaigns and medical checks, yoga classes, sports events and coaching. Additionally, the organisation is steadfast in its recycling campaigns, including Waste Free Environment (WFE) Day, using sustainable resources, and designing its infrastructure to have minimum negative impact on the environment.
