TALKE Group wins GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2017

Proud winners of the 2017 GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Award in the ‘Land’ category: TALKE´s Richard Heath, Director Middle East & USA (3rd f.l.) and TALKE group representatives from the Middle East region.

“Talke won a very well deserved GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Award for their sustainability efforts and initiatives, which have a positive impact on both the people and the environment”, emphasised Saleh Al-Shabnan, ex- Sabic senior Supply Chain professional and head of the jury for the awards. “Talke’s great contributions to initiate and develop Gulf SQAS, together with their continuous transfer of logistical and supply chain knowledge to the region is also highly appreciated and recognized.”

TALKE’s entry was titled ‘Sustainability: Gulf SQAS at the core of the TALKE group’s activities in the GCC’. It explained the integrated concept of the corporation´s sustainability approach, with its core embracing the magic triangle of economical, social and environmental sustainability, and achieving substantial results and progress in all areas across the group’s companies in five different GCC countries.

The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) represents the downstream hydrocarbon industry in the Arabian Gulf. Established in 2006, the association voices the common interests of more than 250 member companies from the chemical and allied industries, accounting for over 95% of chemical output in the Gulf region. The GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards are designed to recognize outstanding contributions, leadership and vision in categories covering the entire supply chain spectrum, from road, marine and ports to academia and even students who wish to develop a career in the field of supply chain.
