It has always been our claim to provide our customers from the chemical and petrochemical industries with uncompromising quality of service. As one of the very key enablers safety plays a vital role in achieving this goal.
Accordingly, achieving optimum safety for our own and other people, for our customers´ product and for the environment is part of our DNA and driver of continuous improvements in this area. This is why we are one of the forerunners in SQAS assessments in the Gulf region.
At the beginning of 2015, RSA-TALKE and the TALKE Group were one of the first companies of our industry to successfully complete a Gulf SQAS Warehouse assessment. The assessments were carried out as part of a pilot for the GPCA’s Gulf SQAS initiative. The aim of the initiative is to create a unified benchmark for the evaluation of health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) for logistics service providers in the Gulf region. As a committed member of GPCA’s Supply Chain and Gulf SQAS Committees we play an active role in the development and implementation of this standard.

Our culture of safety is also promoted in our communications – with authorities and the public, with customers and business partners, and of course with our own workforce. We involve all of our employees as equal partners when discussing and sharing knowledge on safe conduct at work. To support this, we introduced the Blue Rooms – meeting places whose walls are typically painted in the groups' signature blue. For employees in Operations, who don’t have their own PC workstations, the Blue Rooms are the perfect forum for communicating and sharing insights on work and safety. They also provide another platform for employees’ suggestions for improvement. Employees’ suggestions are systematically collected by the idea management team and – if fruitful – integrated into our processes and awarded.
